About

This is a quiet off the beaten path house with a gorgeous farm setting. In The Urban Wilderness/mountain biking & hiking trails are accessible from the property (down the road a bit). Suttree's Landing has a great playground and river access for paddling enthusiasts and kid fun. Vol fans: 10 minute drive to campus. Also, several great breweries, retail shops, and restaurants are nearby. Pigeon Forge/Dollywood is a 30-45 minute drive and Gatlinburg is @ an hour.

Good to know

This place is unique because it is a country setting close to downtown Knoxville. Not only can you can also hear the fireworks when the Vols score a touchdown at Neyland Stadium, but you can also sit on a nice covered porch while drinking your coffee and listen to the neighboring farm animals communicate with each other.

We DO NOT allow parties on our property. Guests of guests are by permission only. Fireworks are also NOT allowed on our property due to all of the neighboring farm animals. Thank you.

House Rules

If you would like to book a one night stay, please send us a message. We usually will not rent one nights to Knoxville residents. This is ABSOLUTELY NOT a place for parties. No smoking or Vaping indoors, and no underage consumption of alcohol is permitted on our property. Please drive slowly on Atchley Hill Way - neighbors have expressed concern to us about guests driving too fast. ***PET OWNERS PLEASE FOLLOW OUR PET POLICY (we want to keep letting animals welcome in our home, so please obey our house rules on pets)*** 1) Please bring your own sheets to put on our couch and/or bed if your animal is on any furniture in the house. 2) Please do not leave your animal in our home alone for more than 2-3 hours. 3) Please pick up after your animal inside and OUT. ALSO, ABSOLUTELY NOOOOOOOOOO FIREWORKS!!!!!!!!! We have a list of why we won't tolerate fireworks, but we mainly want to keep our road's livestock safe.

This property is on a private road in the country yet close to downtown Knoxville. PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL OF OUR PRIVATE GRAVEL DRIVE AND DRIVE SLOWLY (There are chickens on the loose, and it’s not a wide road). The back of this property is connected to TWRA Forks of the River. There are over 50 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails accessible from the property (trail maps available in my house). Ijam's Nature Center and greenways are also not far away. Bike rentals (via Tennessee Valley Bike shop), kayak/canoe/paddle rentals at Mead's Quarry, and paddle boarding and other outdoor fun activities are available across the river next to the Ruth’s Chris steakhouse. Several amazing breweries and great local eateries are within a short drive or bike ride if you are looking for the cool local spots. Downtown Knoxville is a quick drive from the house offering terrific boutique shops, restaurants, theaters, and bars. South Knox also has much to offer down Chapman Highway with an assortment of popular chains including: Starbucks, Kroger, Food City, Pet Supplies Plus, Salsarita's, and many more...it is a growing community!

Guest Access

The entire house is accessible minus the back bedroom closet. There is a storage shed, a covered boat, and a tractor and mower out back that are not accessible.

Find us

This house is conveniently located very close to downtown Knoxville. Downtown Island Home Airport (DKX) is about five minutes away. Downtown Knoxville also has scooters to rent by the hour which can be found around the South Knox breweries, bars, and restaurants. We also have the scooters that can be rented to take you downtown quickly as it is only a few miles from the "SoKno" side of Knoxville. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask host Dan!
